Air Con. unit It’s less than a 5 min drive down the hill into Sami where tavernas and cafes line the water front, prime position, in the morning, to sip a fredo cappuccino and watch the sailing boats come and go and checking the ferries are running on schedule. Although Sami does have a beach of its own beyond the harbour, it really is well worthwhile making the trip round to the next bay (after coffee) to Antisamos beach. Here pine cloaked mountains drop steeply down to the sea with their colours reflected in the crystal clear waters and edged by a crescent of white pebble beach. There are some sunbeds and a taverna backing the beach for lunch or a refreshing drink. Along the coast immediately north of Sami are several small coves and a little further on, the beach of Agia Paraskevi has water sport facilities.
