Get away from it all when you go back in history and stay in an 1978 converted Bedford TK horse box. Enjoy the romantic memories at the meeting place of the White Queen and King Edward IV, under the Queens Oak. The space A unique, rustic retreat conveniently located but away from the hustle and bustle. Accessed half a mile down a tree lined private driveway. Located 15 mins drive from Milton Keynes centre and main line station where London Euston is just half an hour away and Birmingham is around an hour. A 20 min drive to Silverstone, home to the British Grand Prix and Moto GP. The luxury converted Bedford TK horse box sits on the Grafton Way footpath between the Roman town of Towcester and the village of Potterspury. At the bottom of the farm fields you will find the Queens Oak, traditionally the site of the first meeting between Elizabeth Woodville and her future husband, Edward IV. Here you can enjoy a picnic and relax and soak up the romantic history of the White Queen. (Picnics can be ordered and delivered at an extra cost) The space The converted horse box is situated on the site of an old dairy farm and now a small and friendly livery yard. It is surrounded on all sides by fields and countryside walks with plenty of horses to say hello to. The property is made up of the following: Open plan Living room, with a large corner sofa, which transforms into a full size double bed for additional guests. Dining area with breakfast bar. There is a TV and DVD with fire stick to enjoy many different channels. And an electric fire with flame effect for those cosy nights in. The Luton area accessed via a step ladder sleeps 2 adults with a comfortable double bed and drawers underneath the ladder for storage. The comfortable corner sofa converts to a large double bed, again big enough for 2 people. Kitchen, with an electric induction hob. Air fryer and fridge. There is a freezer and washing machine available to use on the property. Bathroom comprises of a large shower, w.c, sink and storage. Outside there is a private garden area and a private parking space, additional parking also available. The garden overlooking the horses fields and views of the countryside has a bbq area and picnic table and chairs to enjoy an evening glass of wine, whilst warming yourself in front of the fire pit (logs available at an extra cost) Guest access You will have full access to the horse box and garden area directly outside the patio doors. Other things to note The driving cab of the horse box is currently undergoing refurbishment,,although this will not interrupt your stay or comfort please note that access will not be possible.
