La Fàbrica
La Fàbrica
Apartamentos La Fàbrica
Description
La Fàbrica is a complex of 4 apartments located in a former 19th-century pottery workshop. We call it that because that was the name by which the workers (potters, labourers, firewood and water carriers, etc.) referred to their place of work. It has a courtyard, an area that provides access to 3 of the houses, and a terrace for common use, where pottery pieces were dried in the sun during the working season. We are located in a quiet part of the village, with no traffic or excessive noise. The space The apartment complex is located in a former pottery factory from the late 19th century. It has a central courtyard for common use, from which you can access a sun terrace with hammocks and views of the entire town, including the Mediterranean Sea. The oldest building (not converted into an apartment) is the workshop area, which is practically the same as when the last workers left here around 1985. We live in one of the houses of the former owners/potters, at the back of the courtyard, so we will usually be there during your stay, and if you need anything, just let us know. Agost is a small and quiet town with all the necessary services for a comfortable stay, such as restaurants and bars, shops, supermarkets, the Casa de Cultura and the Museo de Alfarería, both of which are information points. If you feel like it, during your stay you can enjoy a pottery course here or by contacting any potter or ceramist in Agost who can teach it. Getting around the village is very easy, as it has a radius of less than 1 km and you can walk everywhere. What's more, from here you can access the Vía Verde Maigmó on foot or by bike. To get out of the town and explore the surrounding area, it's best to have a car, although there are some bus services that connect you to San Vicente del Raspeig, from where you can go to Alicante by tram or bus. There is parking around the house and in the nearby streets. It is important to always park in such a way that the dirt path and the street that neighbours use to access their homes are kept clear. Guest access Guests will be able to access the washing machine in another common area. The houses have a central courtyard and a terrace overlooking the whole village and even the sea of Alicante, with hammocks to enjoy the sun or the tranquillity. During your stay We live in the house at the end of the courtyard, so if guests need anything, they can come over or call. There's a sign with the details on the high wall at the entrance to the courtyard. Other things to note There is parking around the house and in the nearby streets, but it is important to respect the no-parking signs and to leave the dirt road clear, as it is open to traffic.
