Barford House is our restored honey stone manor with a heated outdoor pool and thatched pool house, set in six private acres on the edge of the Cotswolds and given over entirely to large family gatherings. Five of the six bedrooms have en-suites, and a screening room, games room and dining terrace for twelve are spread across the grounds. History lovers will find Broughton Castle, a moated medieval manor a ten to fifteen minute drive away, its Great Hall and gardens well worth a slow afternoon. The space Sleeps 12 across 6 bedrooms. Long dinners unfold in the dining room, which seats 12 beside a wood burner, while the inglenook snug and a screening room with drop-down projector and surround sound take over as the evening slows. A games room adds table tennis, croquet and rackets, and a utility room keeps the washer and dryer out of sight. Bathrooms run from roll-top baths with brass fittings to walk-in rainfall showers and twin basins, five of the bedrooms with their own en-suite. Free parking is available on site for several cars, right on the private grounds. Broughton Castle, a moated medieval manor, is a 10 to 15 minute drive, with Banbury and its famous cross the same distance off. Meet-and-greet on arrival; full details will be shared closer to check-in. Free parking will be available on site for several cars. Other things to note This is a period property with three staircases and steps between some levels, so it will suit anyone comfortable on stairs. The outdoor pool is open May through September only. The Aga is typically in use from October to April, and can be kept on outside these months by arrangement for an extra cost. The grounds include a pond, so children will need close supervision near the water and the pool. Important Information: • Guests are not required to pay a security deposit for this stay. Please take care and tidy up after yourself during your stay. • Pets are allowed at an extra charge of £36 per pet per stay, up to a maximum of 3.
