The space A secluded Nordic cabin by the fjord — your place to slow down, switch off, and feel completely at home. Our much-loved family hytte has been a place of calm for many years, and we’re so happy to share it with others. Surrounded by woodland and overlooking the fjord, it’s a peaceful retreat where days move a little more gently. Inside, the cabin is koselig — warm and welcoming, with soft textures, natural materials, and a wood burner that makes evenings especially cosy. The open-plan living space is airy yet inviting, with plenty of corners to curl up with a book, along with puzzles and games to enjoy. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook and gather, with a large dining table overlooking the fjord. A Nespresso coffee machine (pods provided), tea, and cupboard essentials are all there for you to enjoy slow mornings with a view. There’s also a BBQ and covered outdoor seating and dining are with fire pit, perfect for starlit evenings in every season. Logs are available for purchase. There are two inviting double bedrooms and a cosy bunk room on the ground floor, ideal for children and complete with a toy basket. You’ll also find a large bathroom and a separate shower room, both with underfloor heating. Upstairs on the mezzanine is an additional double bedroom, which can be arranged as either a double or twin, making the cabin ideal for families or small groups. All beds are made up with soft linens and towels ready for your arrival. A short walk leads you down to the fjord, where you can launch the kayak or simply sit by the water and take it all in. Whether you come for rest, nature, or time together, this is a place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the simple things — our little slice of Norway, shared with you. Other things to note While the cabin feels peaceful and secluded, you’re just a short 15-minute drive from Svortland, where you’ll find everything you need, from groceries to local shops. The surrounding area is perfect for exploring, with scenic walks and hiking trails nearby — including Siggjo, Bømlo’s highest peak, offering beautiful views across the landscape. There are also many beautiful secluded beaches perfect for a refreshing sea dip or beach side BBQ.
