Converted Horsebox Retreat with Wood-Fired Sauna
Converted Horsebox Retreat with Wood-Fired Sauna
Description
Escape to the peaceful Somerset Levels and enjoy a unique stay in our beautifully converted horsebox at the Green Spirit Retreat, near Glastonbury. Combining rustic charm with modern comfort, soak up far-reaching countryside views, relax by the fire pit, and enjoy access to our wood-fired sauna and cold plunge. Whether you're after a romantic getaway, an adventure base, or simply somewhere to rest, reset and reconnect with nature, you'll find everything you need here. The space Lady Guinevere is a beautifully converted 7.5-tonne wooden horsebox, offering a truly unique blend of character, craftsmanship and comfort. Inside you'll find a raised double bed, two built-in single bunk beds, a cosy lounge and dining area, and a bespoke solid oak kitchen with ample storage. Stay warm beside the wood-burning stove, and enjoy a separate bathroom with a full-size shower and luxury composting toilet. Outside, a wrap-around raised deck with outdoor dining provides the perfect spot to relax and take in the peaceful countryside. Guest access Guests enjoy exclusive use of Lady Guinevere, nestled within the peaceful surroundings of the Green Spirit Retreat. Access to the retreat is via a private country drove, with secure off-road parking for up to two vehicles. For an additional pp charge guests can enjoy our wood-fired sauna and cold plunge, offering the perfect opportunity to relax, recharge and reconnect with nature. A range of holistic wellbeing treatments, including massage, Indian head massage, Reiki, or even breathwork and sound healing experiences may also be available on request to enjoy during your stay. Keys can be securely left for your arrival, allowing for a simple and convenient self check-in. Other things to note Lady Guinevere is set within the peaceful Green Spirit Retreat, where the emphasis is on slowing down, reconnecting with nature and enjoying the tranquillity of the Somerset Levels. The retreat is accessed via a private drove track, so we recommend arriving in daylight if possible. While the horsebox offers all the comforts you need, its unique character means some features may differ from a conventional holiday cottage—adding to the charm and experience. Well behaved dogs are very welcome here, but within the retreat space we have children, chickens, our own Border Terrier pup and often other guests. Not everyone feels the same or has had the same experiences with dogs, and so we don't permit dogs to wander freely within our cosy retreat space. Please plan to keep your dogs on leads and/or under close control whilst inside the retreat - just a few feet outside the retreat are miles of tracks and fields with public footpaths where your dogs can happily roam free.
