Robin Lodge: Newly renovated on the Ring of Kerry

Nestled at the top of a lush, tree-lined driveway surrounded by native greenery, Robin Lodge is a newly renovated A-frame lodge just 10 minutes from Kenmare. Situated on a south-facing hillside overlooking Kenmare Bay, Robin Lodge enjoys glimpses of the bay and the mountains of the Beara Peninsula. Located just off the Ring of Kerry on the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, and directly on the Kerry Way walking route, it's the perfect base for exploring Kerry, West Cork and the Wild Atlantic Way. The space Robin Lodge comfortably accommodates up to two adults, with a king-size bed and a double sofa bed. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals during your stay, including an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Tea, coffee, herbal teas and a welcome box (contents may vary) are provided. Outside, enjoy your own private seating area—perfect for breakfast in the morning sun or a peaceful evening after a day of exploring. One of the joys of staying at Robin Lodge is the surrounding wildlife. It's not unusual to spot wild deer, red squirrels in the surrounding woodland, or bats flitting overhead as dusk falls. Thanks to the area's very low light pollution, clear nights reveal beautiful star-filled skies. Explore the area: Located on the Kerry Way walking route. 10 minutes to Kenmare, with its quaint streets, independent shops, award-winning restaurants and traditional Irish pubs. 20 minutes drive to Molls Gap and Killarney National Park. 25 minutes drive to the picturesque village of Sneem. 15-minute walk to Templenoe Pier, where you can swim, take in the views across Kenmare Bay or enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding with the nearby outdoor activity centre. During the summer months, a popular fish and chip van operates opposite the pier. 5 minutes drive to Coss Strand, a peaceful shingle beach popular with locals for swimming and scenic walks. Guest access You will have exclusive use of the lodge, with your own private entrance, outdoor seating area and free parking for one car. Robin Lodge adjoins our family home and we share the driveway for access. As we use the driveway to come and go from our home, you may occasionally see us walking or driving past the front of the lodge. You'll still have your own private space, and we always respect our guests' privacy. Other things to note We have high speed fibre broadband. Free parking for one car. Please note that we cannot accommodate campervans and motorhomes due to insufficient space. Robin Lodge is attached to our family home, so you may occasionally hear some normal family noise during the day, including our young child playing outside. Electric vehicle charging is not permitted at the property. Our electrical system is not designed for EV charging. There are EV charging facilities available in Kenmare (10 minute drive). Some mobile phone networks may have a poor signal. However the wi-fi is suitable for making calls. We live in a rural area and taxi services can be sparse at certain times. If you plan on using a taxi service for a night out in Kenmare during your stay, we recommend that you check ahead of time to see if they can accommodate your return trip. Often times it can be accommodated but checking ahead of time avoids disappointment.
