Bradford on Avon - A lovely Wiltshire town with a Saxon church, Tithe Barn and prison lock up on the bridge over the river Avon. Easy access to Bath via a direct train. Great Chalfield Manor nearby, used as film location for Poldark and Wolf Hall. Lacock and Castle Combe close by, two of England’s most picturesque villages, known for their timeless streets, historic charm and film appearances from the original Dr Doolittle to War horse. Slightly further afield are Stonehenge, Longleat, The Cotswolds and the smallest city in England - Wells with a magnificent cathedral. Guest access Guests have full and exclusive use of the entire cottage, including all living spaces, bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, ensuring a comfortable and private stay. Access is via a secure key safe, allowing for self check-in and check-out. Full details will be shared prior to arrival. You’ll also have use of the private enclosed courtyard garden, perfect for relaxing outdoors. A dedicated private parking space is included. Directions: From The Street, turn into Newleaze Park, then take the first left into Cannings Close. Turn left again and you’ll find a row of five parking spaces on the right. Hare’s Rest space is the second from the left (facing the spaces), clearly marked with a sign on the fence. Please ensure you park in the correct space to avoid inconvenience to our neighbours. Other things to note The cottage is located in a quiet residential village, so we kindly ask guests to respect neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, especially in the evenings. The cottage sleeps up to 3 guests across two bedrooms. Parking is provided in a designated space nearby — please ensure you use the correct space as outlined in the check-in details. Heating / fire clarification The wood-effect fire is electric and provides ambience without real flames. Individually controlled central heating WiFi is available, though out the property. Fast and reliable, ideal for streaming and remote working. Families & Young Children Hare’s Rest is designed primarily as an adult retreat and has not been specifically childproofed or equipped for young children. Families are very welcome, but we kindly ask that children are supervised at all times during their stay. Sorry no pets allowed.
