Wake up with a mug of coffee on the screened porch with a FULL VIEW OF THE LAKE in a wooded lot. Have a bonfire and roast s'mores with PERFECT SUMMERTIME SUNSET VIEWS off the dock (see photos). RELAX, GATHER and ENJOY! The Hangout’s unique layout provides the perfect gathering place for multiple friends and families to comfortably share Hyco Lake together. The main house offers 1,675 square foot of space with a master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, a cot and two additional bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The second house, called the 'Hut', is connected by the breezeway and provides an additional 550 square feet of space to gather during the day but offers two sets of bunk beds, a day bed, a sleeper sofa and a bathroom for additional guests. Between these two spaces, there is a 700 sqft breezeway with covered outdoor seating that overlooks the lake. Altogether, this spacious 2,225 square feet can easily sleep 10 comfortably on beds with an additional day bed, sleeper sofa, trundle, and cot to accommodate another 4-6 guests. The bedroom layout is as follows (see the floor plan for more details): Master: Sleep Number Queen Bed (with cot) Upstairs Bedroom: Queen (with Pack & Play) Upstairs Bedroom: Two twins (with Trundle) Hut: Two sets of twin bunk beds (with day bed & sleeper sofa) The cove has low boat traffic with a shallow beach area with walk-in water for swimming, kayaking, and fishing right off the beach or spacious dock. Beyond sleeping accommodations, The Hangout includes all the amenities you would want or need at a lake: 2 kayaks, fishing poles & tackle, water toys, propane grill, foosball table, mini ping pong table, indoor board/card games, DVD Player, firepit, free WIFI, and a 50' TV with a Roku Stick and Netflix account included (bring your own Amazon or other cable accounts). ADDITIONAL PONTOON BOAT RENTAL OPTIONS! With over 160 miles of shoreline to explore, your stay is not complete without a boat. BOAT RENTAL: Our dock also has a Harris 23' Pontoon boat (seats 15 ppl) with a 115HP 4 stroke Mercury that is available for rent. Included with the boat rental are all of the necessary ropes and accessories (tubes, skis, wakeboards, life jackets, etc.) to have plenty of hours of fun on the water. Depending on the number of passengers, the boat's max speed is around 20 mph. The boat must be rented for your entire stay, at a rate of only $300/full day of your rental (or $1,250 weekly) and a $200 fully refundable damage deposit (Ex: 4-night rental = 3 full days * $300 = $900 total). Let us know if you're interested so we can plan for the additional logistics. Note: The Boat Rental is also available for anyone who does not plan on renting with us, as long as the boat is available. Renters get first priority. Please message me if you are interested in setting this up. We live 45 minutes south of Hyco so we will not be present for your visit. The Hangout is in a private neighborhood. Please be respectful and keep noise to a minimum for visiting neighbors. If you are venturing out of our property, we are only minutes to the only marina, convenient store and restaurant (Buoy's Bar & Grill) at Hyco for fresh morning biscuits and evening drinks. Beyond that, we have easy access to the highway for visiting Danville, VIR, Milton, Semora, Roxboro, Durham, or any other local town. Beyond its wonderful location and the great layout of the house, you will also fall in love with many other unique benefits such as a very flat yard for activities and easy access to the water, a private cove with very little boat traffic, and a beach area for the kids to play in the water.
