Description
We are pleased to welcome you to the historic residence in the village of Smědeč, the oldest preserved written record of which dates back to 1445 and which stands only a few meters from the medieval Linec Trail. Today, we owe this extinct trail a number of wonderful sights in this region of the Šumava foothills. The village of Smědeč was founded in 1310 and only a few historic houses have survived to this day, including the one in which you can stay and enjoy the atmosphere of ancient times, memories and stories that have long been swept away by time. The space We offer accommodation in a beautifully renovated barn with a fireplace, a large attic bedroom and a small anteroom. The building is part of a historic house, but the rented part has its own entrance. The rooms are furnished in a colonial style, which will easily transport you to the times when the Soumarská trade route passed through the village in the Middle Ages, along which salt, copper, silk, weapons, wine, sea fish, southern fruits, overseas spices and many other products were transported to Bohemia. The barn has a large bar, which is equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, kettle and microwave. For a fee, you can use the Finnish sauna, hot tub, or tennis court. In front of the barn there is a terrace with seating and a large grill. The garden also includes an open fireplace. Other things to note The price of accommodation includes a great breakfast, mostly from local ingredients. Due to the historical nature of the building, it is not possible to cook in the barn. A large grill on the terrace, including accessories, is available throughout the stay.
