Just 10 minutes from Longleat and ideally placed for Stonehenge, Stourhead, Salisbury, Bath & The Newt. Two dogs welcome. Perfect for families, friends & country escapes. Also those staying for work. The light-filled kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and entertaining, while the sitting room offers comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, books and games, and a cosy atmosphere after a day exploring Wiltshire. There are throws we ask you to use to cover sofas. For those visiting for work, the cottage also provides a quiet workspace and excellent access to Warminster, Salisbury, Bath and the surrounding area. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire cottage and private enclosed south facing garden. Free on-street parking is on a quiet street is available just a short walk from the cottage (typically within 50 metres). The cottage can be accessed from the front door or via the rear entrance. At the rear you will find a private courtyard with a handy place to sit on to put boots on and a stand to leave muddy boots after exploring the countryside. Other things to note Joyce’s Cottage is ideally located for visiting Longleat, Center Parcs Longleat Forest, Stonehenge, Stourhead, Salisbury, Bath, The Newt, Messums West in Tisbury and Witchmark Distillery in Fonthill Bishop. The Dorset coast, including Studland Bay, can be reached in around an hour, making it ideal for a day by the sea. The Red Lion village pub is just a one-minute walk from the cottage, while the village shop and Post Office are only a few minutes away. Several excellent country pubs and cafés are nearby, including The Dove, The Ginger Piggery and The Prince Leopold. This makes the perfect location for those who love wild swimming . With Heytesbury Mill pond a short walk from the cottage, as well as several other secret spots we are happy to reveal to you on your stay ! Plus Farley Hungerford a 25 minute drive away . It is also a walkers paradise with or with out dogs being based on the edge of Salisbury Plain on one side and the Great Ridge on the other . Also with Stourhead, Mere Downs and the Chalke Valley a short drive away. Warminster railway station is approximately eight minutes away by car, with a regular bus service from the village. This takes you easily to Salisbury, Bath and Bristol. The cottage is also conveniently located close to both the A36 and A303. The super king bedroom can be made up as two single beds if requested before arrival. We live next door and are always happy to help if needed, while fully respecting your privacy.
