Kópatjörn - Your moment in nature

At this location you will experience complete tranquility, surrounded by beautiful nature to all sides as well as feeling like you are alone in the universe. The building is a renovated ice house that used to serve the fishing families back in the day when Krossavik harbour still served the local community. From there you may see Snæfellsjökull Glacier, over the atlantic ocean towards Látrabjarg and the west fjords, the lava fields of the national park and auroras. Breakfast included. The space The house was built in 1932 to be the towns ,,ice-house". As such it served the fishing industry until the harbour got moved to another town. Then it served as a storage, horse staples and an artists residency, workshop and gallery. The apartment was made for the artists staying at the house and is on the upper floor. With great views over the atlantic ocean and the glacier, you will truly enjoy the solitude and nature that this place will bring.
