Description
The Pig Pen is unique at Moreland's Copse, Raised off the ground and with its own private deck area nestled within the woodland. It has it's own built in single bed, with brand new memory foam mattress and campbed to make a twin. The Pig hut has access to the fabulous purpose built shared outdoor kitchen for the ultimate camping experience. Located at our fabulous site in rural Hampshire, we are next door to Marwell Zoo and just 12 minutes from the M3 motorway and all local transport links The space The Pig Pen is utterly unique and was originally used by the charities pigs, until it was moved to the woodland. Local celebrity Millie the pig was born in the Pig Pen, you may know her from BBC radio as well as appearing in numerous magazines and articles. It's set up on a platform and we have added a small 'wall' around the lower half as well as insulation and waterproofing so there is plenty of space within. It's location means that it is sheltered even in the worst weather and it's thick curtains stop those pesky drafts on chillier days. We provide hot water bottles though - just in case! The Pig Hut is located within our fabulous ancient woodland in our purpose build SHARED outdoor seating and dining area. There is ample room though, with a chesterfield sofa, antique sideboard, saddle swivel stools, chunky window ledges (perfect for resting your G&T!) and numerous chairs and soft furnishings its the perfect outdoor space in any weather. The Pig Hut comes complete with waterproof mattress covers, battery operated lighting, smoke and carbon monoxide alarm and hot water bottles. Please note that bedding IS NOT included as standard, if you wish us to provide this at the additional cost of £15 then please tell us at the time of booking. Please note that fuel IS NOT included as standard, if you wish us to provide you with gas or coal at the additional cost of £5 per item then please tell us at the time of booking. Guest access How to find us: the SAT NAV will take you to Moreland’s Copse farm. Please take the next right which is a small stony track next to a wooden building. There is a sign displayed here. Follow the track up the hill (closing the gate behind you, if the padlock is on the code is 5007 please lock it after you) right to the top of the hill. Do not stop on the track! The buildings here DO NOT belong to Morelands Camping and are PRIVATE PROPERTY. We are located at the very top of the hill on the right-hand side. Parking can be found on the left-hand side. Please do not drive into the woods. Once parked, grass pitches can be found on the right and woodland pitches are down the track beyond the parking area. If you are camping in the woods, you must park your car and walk with your belongings. There is a wheelbarrow by the woods for your convenience, you cannot park your car or any vehicle on the pathways. Check in is from 2pm on day of arrival and checkout is before 12pm on the day of departure. If you need to check in or out at other times, please specify this at the time of booking. During your stay Sometimes we are at the the campsite doing work and general maintenance, if we are there , there might be some dogs with us. They are very friendly and mostly no problem but please let us know if you would rather they weren't around. If you have any problems please message us and I would be happy to help you. Please note that we are a campsite and some areas are shared, we endeavour to ensure the utmost cleanliness, as well as providing ample space. PLEASE NOT BEDDING IS NOT PROVIDED WITH THE HUTS, YOU MUST BRING THIS WITH YOU Other things to note Bedding is not included as standard, if you want bedding we can include this at the additional cost of £15. Fuel is not included as standard, if you want fuel we can include this at the additional cost of £5 per item Currently we do not have showers on site, only toilets and drinking water facilities.
