Welcome to BEL'THÈRES DE GABY! Completely renovated in May 2026, this perfectly equipped peaceful retreat effortlessly combines authenticity with modern comfort. Ideally located on the Way of St. James, in the heart of the Nièvre bocage and at the gates of the Morvan, our cottage is the perfect base for exploring the region (Vézelay, Château de Bazoches, Canal du Nivernais, Parc du Morvan, etc.): it's time to recharge your batteries in the countryside on sunny days or by the fire in winter! The space Carefully renovated in 2026, this charming 70 m² outbuilding (on two levels) is part of a separate wing of an old farmhouse. A blend of authenticity and modernity awaits you there. ​BREAKFAST OPTION: To start the day off right, treat yourself to a continental breakfast basket made up of local products (to be booked before arrival, €10 per person). It will be left for you that morning in front of the entrance to the property. ​PROPERTY LAYOUT: ​The entrance: A functional vestibule to keep your jackets, coats, and shoes dry, whatever the weather. ​The living room: A beautiful open space that has retained its red floor tiles, French oak ceiling, and stone fireplace from the old days. ​The living room & kitchen: A cozy living area with a wood-burning stove, opening onto a perfectly equipped kitchen and a cozy dining area with a corner bench. ​Relaxation & Teleworking: For your leisure or study time, the main room on the ground floor includes a library area as well as an office space, with a Smart TV and Wi-Fi. On the 1st floor, there is a multipurpose room with a large work table. In winter, it is used as a training room for courses on the subject of animal communication, equine podiatry or naturopathy dedicated to animals. ​Bedroom 1 (Ground floor): A cozy nest for 2 people with a double bed (140 x 190 cm) and new, high-quality bedding. Bed linen is fully provided and included (mid-season duvet, 60x60 pillows washable at 60°C, anti-mite protection, and cotton bedding set). Storage: parquet floor, closet, wardrobe and TV, all with a lovely view of the fields. ​Bathroom 1 (Ground floor): Adjoining the first bedroom and facing the countryside, it has a spacious shower (80x120 cm), a double sink, a bidet and a toilet. Bath towels, hairdryer, soap and shampoo are provided. ​Bedroom 2 (1st floor): A second cozy bedroom for 2 people upstairs (double bed 140 x 190 cm, new and comfortable mattress). The bed linen provided is identical to that in the first bedroom. It has a wooden floor, a storage chest of drawers, and overlooks a quiet little alley. ​Bathroom no. 2 (1st floor): Private bathroom for the upstairs bedroom, equipped with a shower (80 x 120 cm), a single sink and a toilet. Shampoo, soap, hairdryer and bathroom linen are also included. ​AMENITIES & PRACTICAL INFORMATION: ​Heating: Optimal thermal comfort ensured by radiators installed in every room. ​Wood-burning stove: For your winter evenings, a kit including a basket of wood and firelighters is available for an additional fee (€6). ​Sound system: Bluetooth speakers are available for playing your favorite playlists. ​Safety & Accessibility: Due to the stairs leading upstairs (bedroom 2 and second bathroom), the layout of the house is not recommended for children. ​Self check-in: We prefer a personalized welcome, but if necessary, a secure lockbox allows you to access the accommodation independently. ​Cyclists: A closed and secure room is provided to store your bicycles. ​Laundry: The cottage does not have a washing machine, but you will find an outdoor clothesline in the garden to dry your belongings. ​OUTDOORS & SURROUNDINGS: ​Courtyard side (not enclosed): An outdoor bistro table and 4 chairs are set up in front of the cottage. ​Garden side: Enjoy loungers facing the countryside for a moment of pure relaxation. A table for 4 is available. A wooden terrace is planned for the summer of 2026. ​Important note: For security reasons, the outdoor areas and the gite are reserved for the guests mentioned on the reservation (unless previously agreed). ​Parking: A free parking space is available right in front of the property. Please notify us before your arrival if you are coming with 2 vehicles. We will arrange to free up the second parking space adjacent (free of charge) to the one reserved for visitors. ​HOUSE RULES: TOBACCO: The gite is an entirely non-smoking space. Please follow this rule. ​PASTURES: For the tranquility and safety of the animals present, it is forbidden to enter the neighboring meadows. PETS: Sharing our daily life with our own animals on site, we unfortunately cannot accept yours, even the best-behaved and the smallest! 😉 ​INCLUDED IN YOUR STAY: Bed linens (beds made on arrival), bath towels, shower products (shampoo/gel), Wi-Fi, parking space... and our warm welcome! Guest access Guests have access to the entire accommodation, GROUND FLOOR + FIRST FLOOR, as well as the dedicated outdoor space in front of the entrance to the accommodation and the garden at the back. The parking space is located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the accommodation. Other things to note If you need us, please note that we live in the other wing of the farmhouse.
