Located on one of the oldest streets in LA, this home is surrounded on three sides by homes on the historic registry. This unit is fresh from a complete remodel, featuring soothing new paint colors and sparkling clean fixtures. Enjoy cooking in the stylish Moroccan kitchen with custom tile throughout, or soak in luxury in the all-new bathroom, featuring Noce travertine and three separate dimmable lights to create the perfect ambiance. The large bedroom is approximately 13' x 13' square, with a large closet. The open super-bright living and dining room space is 25' x 15'. The kitchen is ample with lots of cabinets and pantry space. There is also a built-in linen closet with drawers in the hallway. Your private interior laundry room is located near the kitchen. There is a queen-size bed in the private separate bedroom with a door that locks. There is also a custom-made pull-out sofa that transforms into a comfortable queen-size bed with memory-foam mattress. This place has lots of character with clean and sleek modern amenities, including a 40" Samsung Full HD 1080p SmartHub TV with HDMI input, Whirlpool Duet washer & dryer, new glass stovetop, newer oven, new dishwasher & stainless steel refrigerator/freezer. We recently added two powerful room AC/ heaters for total comfort, summer or winter! The TV streams Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. You won't have to use your log-in information, but you may if you choose. Experience the freedom of country living right in the city: enjoy the hummingbirds, butterflies and 50-foot trees surrounding this home, which is super-close to the ultra-hip Highland Park & Paseo Figueroa shopping districts, and a short distance from Silver Lake, South Pasadena, Pasadena, The Rose Bowl, Downtown LA, Universal Studios and Eagle Rock. Because there are no apartment complexes on this historic block comprised of single-family residences, there is ample on-street parking. Both Downtown LA and Pasadena are only 10 to 15 minutes away by car. Hop on the fabulous Metro Gold Line and free yourself completely from the burdens of LA traffic, or walk to great nearby destinations. Our space is secure and gated, equipped with outdoor-only security cameras throughout the property. We live in the front/upper unit of this duplex property with our 14-year-old son and GoldenDoodle dog, but the space between the floors has been thoroughly soundproofed. You are likely to hear footfalls above you, but no voices. We know you'll thoroughly enjoy your stay at the Moroccan Oasis! Guest access You'll enter your guesthouse through a doorway at the lefthand front side of the property, and walk down a sloping concrete walkway to your private front door. You'll have access to a small seating area just outside your front door. Other things to note Due to Covid precautions, outdoor areas are not included with this rental and unvaccinated guests must wear a mask at all times when on property outside your unit. We have a minimum stay, so please take note of that. Once you get here, you won't want to leave! Sorry, but we have a very firm no-animals policy and there is no smoking or vaping allowed anywhere on the property (due to severe pet and smoke allergies). No candles or incense allowed due to fire safety restrictions. Please review our House Rules before your stay. Please also note that we sometimes use the rear yard area and that a hypoallergenic dog lives on premises.
