The space This is a beautiful family home, recently renovated, in a small hamlet down a farm track on the edge of an unexpected and beautiful valley just set back from the coast. It's walking distance to both East Prawle and East Portlemouth, with the ferry from East Portlemouth across to Salcombe. Downstairs, there is a large, recently modernised farmhouse kitchen with a large picture window looking out onto the garden, and a small workspace just off the room. The doors open onto a beautiful terrace and sweeping lawn. There's a walled, sheltered lawn section with a large dining table, and a morning sun spot terrace under cover. Across the generous hallway from the kitchen is a sun-drenched south-facing living room with piano. There are big windows on both sides, one of which is bifold that spills onto the rear garden that is shared with the house next door (also available to hire on Air B&B). Off the living room is a cosy small snug with a large smart TV and board games cupboard. The wide sweeping stair case leads upstairs to a corridor with all the bedrooms. First is a large en suite (roll top bath, separate shower and garden views) with south-facing windows and generous cupboards. Next to that is a small bunk room. Down the corridor is the family bathroom, with deep bath and overhead shower. Next is a large kids' double bedroom with its own sofa. The final bedroom (superking) looks out onto the front garden and has its own large, wooden balcony area with sweeping views, plus a table and chairs to catch the morning sun for a cuppa. Outside, there is a hot shower for those beach trips, parking on the drive for two cars (and more on the lane by the house), fast electric vehicle charging, and beautiful gardens. The front garden catches the last of the day's sun, the rear garden is a sun trap until about 4pm. Together, they create ample room for people to escape to their own little corner. The other half of the house is also available via AirBnb, and the gardens between the houses are not fenced. The rear garden is shared between the houses, and the front garden - though not divided - has obvious areas that belong to this house and are used only by you.
