Relax with friends and family in this peaceful cottage. For those seeking a quiet retreat which backs onto forest and sits within nature and close to lakes. This well provisioned home is a fantastic spot for visiting nearby lakes, forest walking, and enjoying quiet evenings in/out doors. For children, Påryd school outdoor pool is 5 mins away by cycle. Kanaberg tourist attraction is 10 mins drive away. Central Kalmar is 25 mins drive away. Öland zoo and water park is 50 mins drive away. The space A peaceful fully furnished cottage with three bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, shower and toilet. An additional bedroom can be found in the outhouse for summer guests. Close to nature, local amenities, local tourist attractions and Kalmar, it’s the ideal place to enjoy some downtime with friends/family. Guest access All areas are accessible except for the locked storage rooms I’m the outhouse. Other things to note Dear Guest, Warm welcome to our quiet getaway home where we like to be close to nature a disconnect from our busy lifestyle. Living spaces: There are two bedrooms upstairs and another external bedroom in the outhouse. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen, toilet, shower, washbasin There are extra bedding and sheets in the wardrobes. Utilities: The house is fully electric, the domestic fuse box is above the main entrance and the main fuse box is outside at the rear. Water and drainage are communal and the water is potable. Broadband is being installed, but you may need to use your own 4G/5G connection in the interim. No TV is provided, so please bring your own tablet/viewing device if you require one. Cooking: The kitchen has an electric hob, microwave, fried/freezer and all utensils are provided. There is a BBQ in the outhouse. Cleaning: A vacuum cleaner is provided in the storage cupboard, as well as cleaning products and materials. There are a washing machine and clothes drying rack in the cellar. Washing powder is provided, use setting ‘A’ for mixed washes. All rubbish goes into the green waste bin, when full please leave it outside the red front gate for collection. Shops/amenities: ICA Nära Påryd is 3 mins drive (10-15 min walk) Pårydsskolan has an outdoor pool which is open during the holidays, and is 3 mins drive (10-15 mins walk) Påryds Lantcafé is on the way to both these places and is 2 mins drive (10 min walk) – it’s the local greasy spoon café! Pizzeria Milano is at the end of the road and does all the usual fast food (pizza, burgers, kebabs, fries etc) and is 5 mins walk away. The local petrol station is also there so you can also prepare for car journeys. Animals: Please inform us if you are bring animals. Also please bring sleeping arrangements to place on the floor for your pets, they are not permitted to sleep in the beds or on the sofas. Kindly ensure that you clean up after your pets. The house backs onto the forest which is good for exploring and walking. Deer, wild boar and elk are present in the area so please be aware of this. Activities: Bikes – There are a couple of bikes and helmets provided, but please bring your own lights for riding in the dark. BBQ – There is a BBQ provided. Lakes – There are several small lakes in the area that you can visit and also swim. (1) Vänsjösjön (2) Storsjön (3) Förlången sjö (4) There is also the local outdoor swimming pool. Kanaberg Tourist Spot – 10 mins drive. Kejsarberget Observation deck – 20 mins drive. Kalmar – restaurants, bars, harbour, shopping, Kalmar Castle – 25-30 mins drive. Öland (island) – 50 mins drive. Tips: It’s a no-smoking property, please ensure you smoke/vape outside the house. If you like bird-watching bring some binoculars. We have some insect repellent and anti-mosquito scent but if you are planning on going in the forest then do prepare for this. Remember this is Sweden, so you can buy low-alcohol beer in the supermarket but that’s it. Anything stronger is bought from Systembolaget in Kalmar, or provide your own.
