PLEASE SEND A MESSAGE FIRST BEFORE MAKING A RESERVATION Welcome to our home in the beautiful East Village. Currently, we are sharing a private room at our 2-story, 4-bedroom apt. We have a private backyard with a grill and another balcony which provides us with secure outdoor comfort. I personally have been hosting on Airbnb since 2012 and lived with more than 300 people from all around the world. I love connecting with people from different backgrounds. Looking forward to meeting you soon! The apartment is amazing-- it's a 2 floors, 4 br apartment, with 3 bedrooms and the kitchen upstairs and 1 bedroom downstairs, next a gigantic living room (with a projector that makes for an unparalleled home theater experience). We have a private balcony/deck upstairs as well as a backyard equipped with a grill downstairs. NYC apartments can be so tiny-- we're super lucky to have so much space! You will have your own private room which is on the 1st floor, with a comfortable queen size bed, desk, and shelves. It has a view from the window into the backyard, where a beautiful mural surrounds a large outside common area. Besides that, you are welcome to use all the shared areas. Mi casa es tu casa! There are three of us living here permanently-- Sarah, and Kaptan. We like to hang out at home and cook together. We would hope that you can join us and be a part of our community for a short or a long time. We've hosted over 200 people mostly via Airbnb; we love to meet new people from around the world and become friends, share memories. You can also have your privacy whenever you would like. Our home is in the Alphabet City which is part of the East Village, a neighborhood rightfully loved for its natural beauty (tree-lined streets, parks like Tompkins Square), cute/trendy/weird boutiques and shops, great restaurants, and possibly the best nightlife in the city. It's a very walkable neighborhood with anything you could need within a few blocks, and there's a Citibike dock (short-term bicycle rental) on the corner, the best way to see NYC! We love to bike! There is Citibike right at the corner. There is a bus station at the corner as well. There are multiple subway stations within 15 minutes walk. The closest one is the L train station on ave A and 14th Street. We can help you get anywhere you need to go. In case you plan to bring your car, there is free parking on the street and around the neighborhood but you would need to move the car at certain times during the week and it can be a hassle to find a spot. We would like to underline: You will have a private room, but you would be sharing the apt potentially with me if I am not traveling and other long-term Airbnb guests and roommates. The bathrooms and kitchen are shared by everyone. We don't smoke inside the apartment but you are free to use our private outside areas to smoke freely. *Yurt is a metaphor we use for our home. A traditional yurt is a portable, round tent covered with skins or felt and used as a dwelling by nomads in the steppes of Central Asia.
