Experience nature, peace and our friendly Icelandic horses up close. Feel free to book riding lessons or guided rides. The house is modern inside and equipped to a high standard. The exterior facade and outdoor area are still being completed. Perfect for families, horse lovers, hikers and anyone seeking a getaway. The space About the place Welcome to the vacation home "Katla"! Our vacation home, built in 2025, is located in the middle of the Icelandic horse farm "Islandpferde vom Külztal" and combines modern living comfort with the special atmosphere of a lively equestrian center. The house has two cozy bedrooms, an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, and a modern bathroom with a shower. The fully equipped kitchen invites you to cook together, while you can wind down from the day in the living area. Right outside the door, you can experience our Icelandic horses and farm life up close. On request, you can book riding lessons or guided horseback rides. At the same time, "Katla" is the ideal base for discovering the Hunsrück with its forests, dreamy loops, swimming lakes and excursion destinations – or simply for enjoying the tranquility of nature. Guest access As our guests, the entire "Katla" vacation home is available to you. In addition, you can move freely in the designated areas of our Icelandic horse farm and experience farm life up close. Watch our Icelandic horses in the pastures, enjoy the tranquility of nature or relax in your seat. Riding lessons and guided rides can be booked by arrangement. Please note that some areas of the yard are reserved exclusively for our animals and staff. Other things to note Our holiday home "Katla" is fully finished inside and offers you a modern and comfortable stay. Please note that the exterior facade and parts of the outdoor area are currently still being completed. As a result, the outdoor area may still look like a construction site in some places. You can enjoy farm life to the fullest without being affected by this. Our Icelandic horses, foals, and the spacious riding stable invite you to watch, relax, and linger. Feel free to book riding lessons or guided rides and get to know the special gaited horse breed. Children are allowed to explore the farm and experience how horses, nature and life on a family-run farm belong together. With a bit of luck, you will even experience the sunset over the meadows – a very special moment.
