Virginia Cottage is close to family-friendly activities and public transport and is set in the golden triangle of Scarborough Whitby and York with North York Moors railway 1mile away in Pickering. You’ll love our place because of the outdoors space, the village square, the comfy beds, and cottage kitchen. Our place is great for couples, families (with kids), and dogs. PLEASE NOTE due to the increase in energy costs we now charge extra per day for the hot tub ( see under house rules ) The space Virginia Cottage called “ The Little Gem “ is set out as follows Downstairs French Room Lounge with Open Fire Farmhouse type Kitchen with Utility Room Dining Room which also converts to a double bedroom with a double bed sofa bed. Upstairs Main bedroom can be set up as three singles or a super king double and single plus main bedroom has a Victorian bathroom en suite plus bedroom TV . The second bedroom whilst slightly smaller also has a TV and is next door to the house bathroom which has recently been upgraded. Outside you will find a lovely large west facing garden so the sun is on the back from approx 12.00 until sundown and to the top of the garden you will find the hot tub and parking for a large car Guest access You can use all the cottage and garden except the summer house which is private. There is space in front of the garage for one car but there is free parking in front of the cottage on Whitbygate. Other things to note Thornton Le Dale is perfect for all age groups because the cottage is 50meters from the square where there is a newsagent general store and post office, Spar shop, chemist, two pubs and small private bistro. It is generally flat and with a lovely stream meandering the village great for walks particularly with dogs. Dalby Forest is 2miles up Whitbygate for Bikers and children who like GO Ape, Pickering is next village with NYM Railway.......fabulous. The village is a stop off point
