The King's Folly Lodge @ Barra Castle

In 1753, Sir George Seton’s vision of two garden pavilions is completed. Built to compliment Barra Castle & its gardens, they date back to 1614, however are considered an adaptation of earlier 13th Century structures. The Setons’ would have enjoyed the pavilions as a private getaway, surrounded by stunning scenery. Today only one survives and has been lovingly renovated into a luxury suite for 2. The King’s Folly combines rustic charm, modern comfort and elegant interiors.
