This 12th-century Historic Monument was also listed in 1982 as a Historic Monument and is located in the Grandes Causses and Cévennes region, designated by Unesco in 2011. It is an exceptional recognition for an authentic region where man and nature exist in perfect harmony. The Château de Madières stands in a magnificent setting, on the route of the ancient Spanish Way; it was one of the sentinels of the Causses and Cévennes. The space Nuzzled on the third floor of the castle, this charming 40 m² room captivates with its authentic, peaceful atmosphere. Accessible only by stairs (no lift), it offers a lovely view of the castle’s inner courtyard and its typical rooftops. Spacious and bright, the room features simple, warm Mediterranean-style décor with terracotta floors, authentic furniture, and a relaxation area with a courtesy tray. It has no fixed air conditioning, but a portable unit can be provided on request for comfort in hot periods. Access is also possible at ground level from the secondary car park located above the castle, making arrival easier despite the room’s upper floor location.
