Kalistine Heritage Home
Kalistine Heritage Home
Description
Welcome to Kalistine Heritage Home — a place where my family's history has been preserved for generations. A spacious garden on the edge of the forest, with views of the Kinchha waterfalls, canyons, and Mount Ashi. You will be very lucky if at night you hear the laughter of jackals, the hooting of owls, and the mysterious voices of the wild. Here, you won't feel like a guest — you'll feel right at home. Breakfast at home is included in the price of accommodation. If you wish, you can try Imereti dishes made according to my family's traditional recipes. The space There are two wooden houses on the grounds of our estate, each with its own history. The first is a 150-year-old house designed for guests to stay in. It has two cozy bedrooms, windows with shutters, and a balcony overlooking the surrounding nature. During the restoration, we carefully preserved its old-fashioned character, and we created all the details for the comfort of our guests with our own hands, using natural materials. The second is the 200-year-old Kalistine house, the heart of our estate. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are served here, and on cool evenings, we gather around the wood-burning stove. The house holds the antique belongings of my ancestors, which tell the story of our family. The house is surrounded by a spacious area with fruit trees and vineyards. The windows and courtyard offer views of the mountains, forest, and Kinchha waterfalls. The Iskelda spring flows through the estate. Guest access I want my guests to feel at ease and comfortable here, so the entire grounds of our estate are at your disposal: a spacious garden, a vineyard, and both wooden houses. Our 200-year-old house-ode is open to guests as a special place for relaxation and dining. Here you can enjoy the atmosphere of an old house, spend cozy evenings by the wood-burning stove, and learn about our family's history through preserved household items. If you wish, I will gladly prepare homemade dishes according to family recipes. You can also order dinner or a lunch box to go for trips to waterfalls and canyons (for an additional fee). I would be delighted to invite you to my kitchen, where you can see the process of preparing traditional dishes, learn our family recipes, and, if you wish, take part in the cooking. It is important to me that every guest feels the warmth of our home and true Georgian hospitality. Other things to note Transportation We recommend that our guests rent a four-wheel drive (4×4) vehicle, especially if you plan to travel around our region and visit natural attractions. The road to our house is almost entirely made of concrete. Only the last 200–300 metres are along a rocky section with a slight incline. In dry weather, most cars pass without any problems, but after rain, a regular sedan may not be able to handle it. Therefore, for a comfortable and safe trip, we recommend choosing a 4×4 vehicle. To preserve the historical appearance of the buildings, the bathroom and toilet are located in a separate room, just 10 metres from the residential building. Our guests have everything they need for comfort, but we decided to preserve the architectural authenticity by placing modern amenities outside the living rooms.
