Charming little Lakeland museum miner’s cottage

This unique little cottage has been specially decorated with interesting and quirky artefacts collected and found in the Lake District, original hiking boots, a 1720 chest with a story, each piece has a little tag explaining its history and where it came from. Not just a place to stay but a miniature museum of some of the wonders of the local area and Lakeland life its self. Located close to the Lake District, solway coast and Cockermouth, it’s the perfect affordable base… Come and explore!! The space The little house built in 1880 for local mining families who worked just down the road. It retains lots of its original character. *****IMPORTANT *****- THE FIRE PLACE IS ORNIMENTAL ONLY AT THE MINUTE ITS NOT TO BE LIT- IT HAS NO FLUE YET - the little cottage has 1 double bed. We can provide an airbed if others want to stay but don’t provide bedding for it.
