Maple Lodge has a peaceful setting right in the heart of the South Downs National Park, and it makes an idyllic rural retreat from day to day life. Set on a 160km National Trail, the lodge makes just the base for walkers keen to stretch their legs and see as much of the scenery as possible, and with carpets of bluebells and meadows of wildflowers as a backdrop depending on the season, every walk is one to remember. Who knows, you may even spot a red kite soaring high above. There is so much to do and see in this area, from walking, cycling or horse riding across the Downs, exploring wildlife in the wetlands, visiting one of the many heritage sites to experiencing opera at the world famous Glyndebourne.
