This massive, unique and spacious residence (formerly a school) at Vansjövägen 4 in Krylbo combines old-fashioned charm with new furnishings and modern equipment. The apartment is located one floor up, is extremely clean and fresh, has an extra-high ceiling of 270 cm, air conditioning, and large windows in both directions that provide fantastic light. The house is not perfect, but it is a wonderfully nice place where you sleep extremely well. This is the only residence in the entire large house. This means you have no neighbors in the building to disturb you, so you can sing and play loud music at any time of the day. The accommodation is perfect for long-term stays, travelers, and shorter events. Housing Facts, Decor & Technology. Area & Rooms: 120 sqm divided into a total of 11 rooms, if you include the smaller rooms and both covered outdoor spaces. Floor Plan & Amenities: A veranda, a balcony (tip: try taking a bed out onto the balcony and sleeping there in the summer – it's wonderful!), a hall leading out to the balcony with many seating areas, and a walk-in closet with many hangers and several wardrobes (a total of 6 wardrobes and 2 dressers). There's also a drawer unit and a cabinet, both of which are lockable with a key. Technology & Entertainment: Good internet and a total of 20 LED light sources. The living room has a large, comfortable corner sofa and an electric, motor-driven dining table that can be raised and lowered (which is actually a desk). There is a new 75” LG TV plus 3 additional TVs (one in each room, including a Thomson 55” TV). In addition, there is a Samsung Blu-ray DVD player with a collection of movies. Sound, Light & Party: A powerful sound system with Bluetooth speakers, Pioneer speakers (a total of 10 speakers), a mixer, several different disco lights and a karaoke system. Bathroom & Laundry: A bathroom with shower, toilet and an Electrolux washing machine and Whirlpool dryer. There is also an extra toilet in the hallway (2 toilets in total). An extra, extra large water heater ensures that the hot water never runs out. An iron, ironing board and hairdryer are available. Kitchen & Household Items: A large, well-equipped country-style kitchen with "extra everything." Equipped with large Electrolux fridge and freezer, a new microwave, an Electrolux ceramic stove with oven, a tea maker, a coffee maker, an electric mixer, a juicer, new frying pans and new drinking glasses. Plenty of cleaning supplies are also included. Textiles, Beds & Flexible Sleeping Options. The residence has scrubbed, soaped wooden floors, rugs made of natural materials, a ceiling fan and new blackout curtains. There is a large linen storage room full of bedclothes, sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, soap, shower gel, cleaning supplies, toilet paper and paper towels in large quantities. Among other things, 35 packages of bed linens and 55 towels of different types for the bathroom, kitchen and guests are included. The beds are comfortable Sultan beds, including a fantastically comfortable double bed with a new deluxe mattress topper. For long-term stays, needs vary, and you have full permission to rearrange the furniture according to your own wishes as long as everything is restored before departure. For fewer people, you can start from the description below and choose options yourself. For shorter periods and many people, there are ready-made sleeping arrangements for 16 people: Bedroom 1: Equipped with a sofa and an extra large, comfortable double bed. Space for 3 adults and 1 child. Bedroom 2: Two single beds. Space for a maximum of 4 people. Living room: Equipped with a corner sofa and two beds. Space for a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children. Kitchen: Equipped with a sofa. Space for a maximum of 2 people. Extra space & beds: Should you need even more space, there is the possibility to rent several extra rooms downstairs. We have a large storage room with many more beds, sofa beds and couches there. Let us know well in advance (there is a small extra charge). The house also has two different front doors on the upper floor, which means you don't have to disturb each other if someone comes home late. Outdoor areas & Events. The property has a private paved parking lot of 500 square meters just outside and a huge private plot of 8,700 square meters. If you want to organize a party or hold a public event, you are welcome to use the entire yard as well as the loading dock on the lower level. You can also use the entire paved area in front of the house and mount lights on the balcony pointing downwards to create a fantastic atmosphere. The building is protected by an alarm. The area & Krylbo: The property has good drinking water and borders directly on an allotment garden as well as a scenic nature reserve. It is close to the Dalälven and Vansjön, where there are 3 swimming areas, a volleyball court and good fishing opportunities. It is only 1 km to the train station, buses, grocery store and restaurants. The best thing about Krylbo is its strategic location as a historic hub combined with its proximity to nature and leisure activities. As part of Avesta, the town offers a quiet living environment with good public transport. It is a well-known railway town with a dramatic history, including the famous ammunition accident in 1941. It is close to the center of Avesta but has its own, quieter character where tradition and the future meet. In the nearby area, there are excellent opportunities for sports and leisure, such as speedway races, riding lessons, soccer and floorball. In the apartment, there is also a library with many good books on philosophy, health and how to feel better. An important thing when you stay with us (House Rules): We are putting a beautiful and very well-cleaned home in your hands, and we want to get it back in the same condition or better. This is very important to us, and hopefully just as important to you. This means, for example, that you must never, ever wear outdoor shoes indoors. It is absolutely forbidden to smoke indoors, and you must not throw cigarette butts outside. You make your own bed, clean by yourself, and do your own laundry. When you leave the property, it should be as nice as when you arrived, or even better.
