The Old Schoolhouse Lodge

In the grounds of the Old Schoolhouse sits our luxurious lodge. Separate from the main house. The newly decorated and refreshed Lodge comprises of 1 bedroom(with kingsize bed) open planned lounge with table & seating area. Bathroom consists of a shower & WC, there is an addition with a beautiful relaxing Sauna, Views through the large bi fold doors of the rolling Essex countryside with the most spectacular sunsets on the horizon. You can enjoy an evening firepit or breakfast on the patio. The space Guests have full use of the Lodge during their stay. Please note that this is a Non smoking environment both inside and outside of the Lodge. Guest access The Lodge has a large wrap-around patio with garden table and chairs, a fire-pit with wood supplied, and sunloungers for sunny days. We have a large garden which our friendly Cocker Spaniel roam freely in, which guests are welcome to use. There is free parking to the front on our gravelled parking area. Other things to note Our Lodge is primarily a relaxation space. We do not have a TV in there, however there is an "Old-school" stereo and a selection of CD's and vinyl to listen to ( please feel free to bring your own). Wi-Fi is connected, however we live in the country and the speed is best described as adequate! There are some board games, playing cards, magazines and books for your enjoyment but probably the Sauna is the place to relax where we also provide lounge robes to wear throughout your stay. The view are fabulous and sunsets can be stunning. We offer a cereal or fruit breakfast, with milk, water and juices in the worktop chiller and we are happy to cater for any dietary intolerance or needs as long as notified prior to stay. We do not have full cooking facilities, there is a microwave for your use, however there are plenty of takeaways around, and the Lodge offers all of your crockery needs to relax further throughout the night. If you are booking for an event or celebration please let us know in advance as we also offer extra welcome packages at an extra cost.
