Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Picture perfect Grade 2 listed stone cottage in the heart of the Ribble Valley. Situated in the heart of Chipping village, this 3 bedroom cottage has every amenity to give you the perfect home away from home. Chipping is situated in the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Surrounded by rolling hills, it is ideal for walkers and those who want to be in a peaceful setting, but with all the amenities of a village. The space Our picture perfect listed stone cottage lies in the heart of the village, next to a quaint running brook. In the village are two pubs (one serving food), a cafe for a good hearty Lancashire breakfast and Britain’s oldest trading shop, which also serves breakfast and lunch and has an alcohol license. The cottage itself has 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living room with log burner, dining room, upstairs bathroom and downstairs toilet. The main bedroom has a king size bed, with a Tempur mattress for your ultimate comfort. Along with original stone features, the floor of the cottage is wonderful flagstone, set off with rugs for comfort. There is a private drive that can accommodate one large vehicle, or two smaller ones. We have a small, low maintenance garden area. The central heating is controlled by Hive and will come on and off automatically. Included in your stay will be a welcome pack, with milk and pastries on arrival, and some vouchers for use in the village shop and pub. (For stays of 3 nights or longer) We have an “honesty wine rack” in our dining room and a few limited spirits for you to enjoy. Guest access The entire house is yours for the duration of your stay. The keys in the key safe will give you access to the side kitchen door. Please note we do not use the black front door at all and this is kept locked. Other things to note There is a log store at the rear of the house, with logs for the log burner. Please empty the ash from the bottom of the log burner if you have used it and place cool ashes in the green garden waste bin. The bins are as follows: Green - garden waste Red - general waste Blue - glass, tins, plastic White bag - paper and cardboard Please place your rubbish in the correct bins and these will be emptied when you leave. As we are situated next to a brook, and the cottage is stone, we have two dehumidifiers in the property. Please empty these every few days when they are full. The water can be emptied outside or down a sink.
