Discover our little slice of paradise in the heart of Lanzarote. Casa Gatti is part of a historic Canarian house protected by the Lanzarote Heritage Office, lovingly restored to preserve the original charm and authenticity of its early 20th-century architecture. It is not a standardized place to stay, nor is it “perfect” in the hotel sense: it is a real home, with a history. During the renovation, we consciously chose to make as few changes as possible, preserving the original materials and surfaces. The space Casa Gatti is a space that tells a story. The room is spacious and bright, with exposed beams and natural light streaming in from the garden. The bathroom is unique: a built-in bathtub, lava rocks, a tree with orange lights—nothing standard. For breakfast, there's everything you need: a coffee maker, a kettle, a microwave, and a refrigerator. There is no actual kitchen, so it is perfect for those who love to explore local restaurants. Outside, the flower-filled patio is all yours. Guest access We always welcome guests in person to hand over the keys and give them a brief tour of the house—it's a pleasure for us, not a formality. The entrance is through the indoor common area, from which a staircase leads directly to the upstairs apartment, which is completely independent and private. Other things to note Casa Gatti is so called because we live with 5 cats — but you will never meet them, as they live exclusively in our wing of the house. If you are allergic or don't like cats, please write to us before booking. Something special to know: for months, a pair of turtledoves have chosen the bedroom windowsill to build their nest. We have happily adopted them and will not disturb them. If the morning birdsong or their presence might bother you, we kindly ask you to take this into account before booking — we prefer transparency to an unexpected surprise. The house has neither air conditioning nor heating, as they are not necessary given the area. If this is not in line with your preferences, this accommodation is not for you.
