Mount Pleasant Cottage was built in the 1600s and is the oldest residential property in the picturesque village of Monyash. This peaceful Peak District getaway is full of character including original oak beams, a wood-burning stove and stunning views of the surrounding countryside as well as a library of fascinating books from around the world. The cottage is just a few minutes walk from the Bulls Head pub and Old Smithy cafe. The cottage lies at the beginning of the stunning Lathkill Dale walk. The space The cottage is packed full of character including a wood-burning stove, relaxing sunroom and spacious garden with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and famous Lathkill Dale. It is a delightful, traditional Peak District cottage. The sunroom is south facing and is a lovely relaxing space in which to read a book or enjoy some afternoon tea. The hallway leads into the dining room which has a traditional range stove set into a lovely fireplace. In the kitchen there's an electric oven with grill, gas hobs, full-size dishwasher, fridge freezer and plenty of space to prepare food. All the utensils, plates, bowls etc are supplied. There is a downstairs toilet with automatic washing machine. The living room is cosy and comfortable packed with traditional features. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and fitted wardrobes and enjoys views over the village. Mount Pleasant Cottage is ideally situated to explore the wonders of the Peak District National Park's many different walks and stunning views. It's close to some great bike trails like the Monsal, Tissington and High peak trails suitable for all the family. Bike hire is available. It's also within easy reach of the market town of Bakewll and spar town of Buxton. The Bull's Head pub in Monyash is just a short walk and offers a welcoming and friendly service with traditional pub food, log fire, pool room, beer garden and village playpark. It's also just a few minutes walk from the Old Smithy Cafe which offers full English breakfasts, lunches, tea, coffee, cakes and ice creams and much more. Monyash is one of the most picturesque and popular villages in the Peak District, famous for its walks and scenery. Mount Pleasant is the ideal rural getaway to enjoy all it has to offer.
