Whether you are looking to explore the spectacular countryside, visit the historical cities of Cáceres, Trujillo, Mérida and Guadalupe, or go birdwatching, Finca Flores Amarillas is an ideal base for a relaxing break in an idyllic country house setting. The space The house sits in about five acres of land and is surrounded with fig and olive trees, with beautiful views of soft-rolling hills and pasture land. Guests will have the perfect opportunity to combine walking and birdwatching excursions with exploring the old medieval towns and villages and sampling the local cuisine, or simply relaxing by the pool. The building is a typically white Mediterranean house, with shaded balconies, terraces and porches, plenty of flowers and pleasant aromatic plants, and local architectural elements. Its design is an interesting combination of passive-solar architecture and alternative energy sources. We have our own well to provide us with clean, fresh water and our geothermal installation provides underfloor heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. We also enjoy the luxury of being connected to the national grid, so our electricity supply is not dependant on sunny days. The property offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The downstairs has a big, open-plan living room cum dining area that opens onto a spacious porch. There is a spacious kitchen indoors and a lovely outside kitchen with a large barbecue. There are several outdoor areas to relax and have a drink or a siesta. Travellers visiting in the colder months can experience a true winter atmosphere. There is an open fireplace in the living room, a wood burner in the kitchen and another one in the upstairs breakfast room. Guest access Guests have full access to all of the property and finca. Other things to note Upon arrival, guests pay a €300 damage deposit, refunded within 48 hours of their departure.
