The Old Electrical Office in Schwichtenberg

This place used to be a garage and, most recently, the village electrician’s office. Today, it’s the perfect stopover on your way to vacation, a starting point for bike tours, or comfortable lodging during festivals. Centrally located in Schwichtenberg, it’s just a 10-minute walk to Freakland and the boulder garden. When traveling on the A20, the route through Schwichtenberg is an interesting shortcut through the Mecklenburg countryside that also saves you a few miles. The space The accommodation is currently still being renovated, so the photos look a bit bare; everything will look a bit more inviting upon arrival. There is a combined living and sleeping area, a kitchen, and a bathroom. There are two single beds available that can be pushed together. The sofa converts into a sleeper sofa and is approximately 1.20 m wide. Wi-Fi and satellite TV are available; there is a workspace, and you can also connect your laptop or an HDMI dongle to the TV. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials for breakfast: a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster. For smaller meals, there is also a two-burner stove and an electric grill outside. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, shower, sink, and a washing machine. The apartment is equipped with a first-aid kit containing band-aids, tick tweezers, antiseptic, an eye wash, and a thermometer. Smoke and CO detectors, as well as a fire extinguisher, are available in the apartment. Guest access There is a spacious parking area right outside the door. There is a key safe at the entrance; the code will be sent shortly before your arrival. From the hallway, there is a back door leading to the courtyard. The same key fits this door. The courtyard is accessible via a separate driveway. Parking in the courtyard or in a garage is also possible upon request. However, the driveway has a steep drop. Bicycles and motorcycles can be stored in a dry area. Charging of electric vehicles with a max. of 11 kW is possible, but only upon request and at the guest’s expense! A wallbox is available in the courtyard. Other things to note The apartment is currently undergoing renovations, so the photos may not be up to date! There is a festival ground located about 2 km outside the village. You can therefore expect audible music 3–4 times a year; while the noise levels do not exceed legal limits, it may still be audible in the village.
