Julian and Karen welcome you to the Anvil : self contained detached accommodation, adjacent to the old Blacksmiths Cottage, with open plan bedroom and living area, en suite bathroom, and exclusive use of patio, gazebo, garden area with swing seat, barbeque, pizza oven, sunshade and outdoor dining facilities, in a village setting, 10 minute stroll to award winning country pub, and a 20 minute drive to historic York. The space The bedroom and living area enjoy an en suite bathroom with walk in shower In the room are tea and coffee making facilities (and home made biscuits!) with toiletries, hand sanitiser miniatures and bottled water (all complimentary), comfy chairs, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, TV, mini fridge, minigoogle for news, weather and music, wifi, wardrobe and drawers. Travel cot available Outside, guests have exclusive use of patio area (again exclusive to guests) sheltered by a veranda, with patio furniture, fire pit, and exclusive use of garden area with swing seat, wooden gazebo (again just for guests) with table and chairs, pizza oven, parasol, barbeque (charcoal provided) - plates, cutlery and utensils are provided Optional breakfast may be taken at a set table in "the snug" - a private breakfast / day room next to the Anvil, or al fresco under the veranda, comprising continental breakfast for £7.50 .The breakfast is presented in a breakfast hamper containing jams, honey, porridge, home made yogurt, fresh orange juice, cereals, and freshly baked croissants, pain aux raisins and pain aux chocolat, together with toast and filter coffee. Please let us know of any allergies prior to arrival The snug is available for use throughout the stay for those needing a working surface, and for meals - either takeaways, pack-ups, or cooked by guests themselves over the barbeque or pizza oven, and houses toaster, microwave, filter coffee machine, and fridge (in which guests are welcome to store foodstuffs and drinks) Door key available from key safe for late arrivals.
