Our cottage is snuggled amongst recreational hotspots, walking distance to the beach, 2 miles from beautiful Afton MN (state park, downhill skiing), 4 miles from Hudson WI (shopping, dining, boat cruises, live music), 15 minutes from historic Stillwater. This small but comfortable home has amenities galore, is nestled on a double lot just 2 blocks from the river & 1 block away from a popular biking/walking trail. Sleeps 5 people comfortably. Unpaved driveway with ample parking for 2 vehicles. The space Our cottage, which we affectionately refer to as "the beach house " is located in the charming river town of Lake St Croix Beach. This listing is for an entire home which you will have to yourself. We have a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, fridge, gas oven/stove, and mini dishwasher. Our home sits on a double lot located just 3 blocks from the St. Croix River. Our spacious yard features a bonfire pit, paved patio with picnic table, and plenty of of outdoor space for families traveling with their canine companions. The public beach, located about 3/4 mile from our home, features a beautiful sandy beach which has been voted one of the best beaches in MN. Our home is located in an extremely safe community where guests can enjoy walking the neighborhood or surrounding trails while enjoying all of the beauty the lower St Croix scenic riverway has to offer. Guest access You have access to everything in the house. The kitchen is fully functional - refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, small dishwasher, sink, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, cooking accessories, etc. The cottage is equipped with wifi, basic TV channels, & Netflix. We have a shared driveway with our neighborhood. Please use our spaces on the left hand side of driveway. We have adequate space to park 3 cars single file. The detached garage is not available for guest use. Other things to note We recently installed a mini split air conditioner on the upper level of the house. Remote for air conditioner is located on wall underneath the cooling unit in the living room. We run a dehumidifier in the basement during the summer months. During the winter, our house uses forced air heat. We also have a gas fireplace on the upper level. Please note that using the fireplace for extended periods will result in cooler bedrooms as our furnace will not kick in due to main thermostat being located in same room as the fire place. We have space heaters available in both upper and lower bedrooms if you prefer a warmer space for sleeping. We have smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors located on each level per city code. Please remember that this is our home, not a hotel. We ask that you please treat our home with respect. If any problems arise we will do our best to take action ASAP.
