Seasonal Comfort: The 23-foot bell tent is equipped with an air conditioning unit during warmer months and a portable heater for cooler evenings and seasonal stays. Please note that canvas tents naturally respond to outdoor temperatures. During hot summer days, the tent may still feel warm, especially during peak afternoon heat. The A/C works best when the tent is shaded and doors/windows remain closed. During colder weather, the portable heater helps provide additional warmth and comfort, but guests should dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. Nature: You are staying in a luxury glamping retreat surrounded by nature. Bugs, wildlife, and other outdoor elements are part of the experience. We recommend bringing insect repellent, especially during warmer months. Wildlife & Friendly Visitor: -Deer, loons, eagles, hummingbirds, and other wildlife are frequent visitors. -You may also meet Ryder, our neighborhood dog, who occasionally stops by to say hello. Ryder may bark when she first arrives, but she is very friendly and loves belly rubs. Please feel free to greet her, but allow her to approach at her own pace. Well Water: Fresh well water is provided on the property. If you prefer bottled drinking water, we recommend bringing your own. Lake Experience: Bear Lake is a natural lake surrounded by native vegetation. The shoreline near the dock includes cattails and lily pads, creating a beautiful habitat for wildlife and excellent fishing opportunities. There is no traditional beach area. Guests may paddleboard or kayak beyond the dock area where the water is generally clearer and more suitable for swimming. Lake Safety: Life jackets must be worn when using kayaks, canoe, or paddleboard. Children must be supervised at all times near the water. Neighbors: While Bear Lake Escape offers a private and peaceful setting, there are neighboring properties nearby. Please be respectful of noise levels, especially during quiet hours. Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Please help us maintain a peaceful environment for neighbors, wildlife, and future guests.
