Waterfront Escape, Kayaks, Firepit & Family Fun

Escape to our much-loved family cottage on beautiful Loughborough Lake. Enjoy kayaking, fishing, campfires and relaxing on the screened porch. Thoughtfully equipped for kids and dogs, it's a place to slow down and make memories. While the natural shoreline isn't ideal for swimming, children love splashing and feeding fish in the shallow area between the docks (water shoes recommended). Perfect for families looking for an authentic Ontario cottage experience. The space Our much-loved 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom family cottage is thoughtfully equipped for families and anyone looking to slow down and enjoy life at the lake. The primary suite features a king bed and ensuite, while additional bedrooms include a queen bed and a twin over double bunk room with a crib. Inside you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, reliable WiFi, an Amazon Firestick to log into your streaming platforms, toys, books, DVDs, puzzles and games for all ages. Outside, enjoy the screened porch, spacious deck with a covered patio sectional and dining table with chairs, firepit and covered BBQ pad with bar top and seating. Guests have access to two docks, a canoe and kayaks, with excellent fishing right from the property. Enjoy frequent sightings of loons, swans, great blue herons and other wildlife throughout the bay. Little ones can spend hours playing in the large sandbox, mud kitchen, swings, slide, water tables and outdoor toys, while indoor toys, books and games help keep everyone entertained on rainy days. We also provide family essentials including a crib, Pack 'n Play, high chair, booster seat, baby monitor, sound machine, baby bath, potty seat and step stool to make traveling with young children easier. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire cottage with large driveway, waterfront, two docks, and all outdoor spaces. Self check-in is available for ease of arrival. We kindly ask guests to be respectful of neighbours and to keep noise to a reasonable level, especially in the evenings. For safety, children must always be supervised around the water. Parties, events, and large gatherings are not permitted. Other things to note This is a seasonal family cottage open from late April through Thanksgiving weekend. The cottage uses treated well water that is fully safe for drinking (filtered, UV-treated, and softened). For guests who prefer it, we also provide two Culligan water jugs for drinking water at the start of your stay, as we personally prefer the taste. If you consume both jugs there are locations nearby to purchase more. As with many lakefront cottages in Ontario, guests may occasionally notice harmless insects such as ants or spiders, which are part of the natural environment. We take preventative measures and maintain the property regularly. The waterfront is best suited for paddling, fishing, and relaxing. Children enjoy playing in the shallow area between the docks, while the shoreline itself is naturally weedy and not intended for swimming. Please note there is no on-site laundry available. Bath towels and linens are provided for guest use. Guests who wish to swim or spend extended time at the waterfront are encouraged to bring their own beach towels. Garbage disposal follows local rural guidelines and requires guests to bring bagged garbage off-site to designated bins on Battersea Road using provided tags. We welcome up to two dogs at no additional fee. Please note the property is not fenced, so dogs will need to be supervised or leashed when outside. There are neighbouring cottages in the area and occasional dogs on the lane, so we ask guests to help keep pets close and ensure everyone enjoys a calm and respectful stay.
