Ardmore Country House is stone built house set in it's own private grounds in beautiful well maintained gardens. Enjoy beautiful views of the Slieve Blooms from the large picture windows. Located on the edge of the picturesque village just 3 minutes drive from Kinnitty Castle. It is on the trailhead for the Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike trails, the Slieve Bloom Way and many more looped walking trails. Kinnitty is less than 2 hours drive from most parts of Ireland midway between Dublin and Galway. The space The facilities at Ardmore are exceptional with beautiful well-maintained bedrooms, antique furniture throughout, open fire in the sitting room, TV, and free fast Wi Fi. The stone house is set in large landscaped gardens with free private off road parking. Breakfast is cooked to order using the best of local ingredients. We make our own home breads, scones and preserves. For Mountain Bikers: The Slieve Bloom Mountain Biking trails are on our doorstep. We can provide bike wash and secure lock up for you bike. For walkers The Slieve Bloom Mountains provide many different levels of walking, looped walks from 1 to 4 hours, Long Distance Slieve Bloom Way, day treks from village to village, horse trekking in the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Popular nearby attractions are , Kinnitty Castle, Haunted Leap Castle, Lough Boora Discovery Park, Birr Castle Gardens, Clonmacnoise Heritage site, Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre. Guest access Guests have access to their own bedroom and the dining room for breakfast. Guests can relax in the sitting room in the evening where the log fire is lit as the weather get cooler. There is TV, a great range of books, chess set, a CD player and free Wi Fi for guest use. A drying room is available for walkers, lock up store for bicycles and motor bikes. During summer a BBQ is available for guest use in garden. During your stay I will be available at breakfast time to give you advice on the best activities and attractions locally. I love to chat and meet with people. Other things to note This is a Failte Ireland registered 4 star B&B and is our family home. Tea/Coffee making facilities available in sitting room any time of day. BBQ available for guest use. Drying room available for guest use, bike wash and lock up store for bikes.
