Comfy bungalow with a private fenced back yard, just 6 miles from Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks and a short walk or bike ride to the popular I&M Canal path and downtown LaSalle. The Second Empire Hegeler Carus Mansion is a few blocks away. Rotary Park is just a 5 minute drive to the amazing walking path around the old Illinois Cement quarry. The historic neighborhood was built for local factory workers and is close to Route 6 so you will hear street noise during peak travel times. The space This is a historic bungalow that has been updated but retains its original charm with a good sized back yard. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a flex room with a desk workspace. There’s a private fenced backyard where you can relax with your dog after hiking the nearby state parks or enjoying downtown LaSalle. There is some background factory and road noise from nearby Route 6, but the backyard is your own private space bordered by woods in the back. You may see wildlife occasionally. There is one security camera outside the front door. There are no cameras inside. Guest access The entire bungalow and back yard will be for your use. The basement is unfinished and not available for guest access. There is a laundromat 5 blocks away. Other things to note The home backs up to heavily wooded private property so you may see wildlife. Tampering with the security camera on the front porch or intentionally disconnecting the power or WiFi will result in cancellation of your reservation with no refund.
