The space The space at Locklie’s Creek Retreat is designed for relaxing, reconnecting, and enjoying the peaceful waterfront surroundings. Inside, guests will find a cozy and comfortable home with inviting living spaces, natural light, and beautiful views of the creek and surrounding trees. ‘ The home offers a warm coastal feel with comfortable furnishings and plenty of room to unwind after a day on the water. Outside is where the property truly shines. The large waterfront yard is perfect for morning coffee, outdoor games, wildlife watching, or evenings under the stars. Mature trees provide privacy and shade, while the private dock offers easy access to Locklie’s Creek for kayaking, fishing, crabbing, or simply taking in the peaceful water views. Guests can enjoy the quiet setting while still being just a short paddle or drive from Merroir and the beautiful Rappahannock River. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home, private dock, and spacious waterfront yard during their stay. Enjoy full use of the outdoor spaces for relaxing, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, and taking in the peaceful views. The home offers self check-in for a smooth and convenient arrival experience. Detailed check-in instructions and access information will be provided prior to your stay. Please note that some storage closets or owner supply areas may remain locked for housekeeping and maintenance purposes. Other things to note Waterfront living means guests may encounter occasional insects, wildlife, or changing weather conditions common to the Chesapeake Bay Area. Please supervise children closely near the water, on the dock and at the beach areas at all times. Kayaks are provided for guest enjoyment; use is at guests’ own risk and weather/water conditions should always be considered. You should bring life jackets with you to ensure a proper fit. Some life jackets are provided but it is recommended to bring your own. Outdoor spaces, beach conditions, and water depth may vary depending on tides, wind, and seasonal conditions. Quiet hours and respectful behavior are appreciated to help preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the neighborhood and rural community. We recommend bringing groceries and personal items prior to arrival, as large grocery stores and shopping areas are a short drive from the house. Guests will receive check-in instructions and property information prior to arrival.
