Ford Hill Cottage - an extremely well loved home

A beautiful three bedroom character cottage, situated in the pretty, North Devon countryside village of Kentisbury, which is situated just a few miles from the popular coastal resort of Combe Martin in North Devon. An ideal base for families and groups of friends looking to explore and enjoy both Exmoor and Devon. The space Ford Hill Cottage is a tastefully decorated, three bedroom character cottage located in the village of Kentisbury on the edge of Exmoor. The cottage, which comfortably sleeps up to six enjoys wonderful views of the local countryside and its stunning garden, which is perfect for families looking to let their children run safely on the lawn. On arrival guests can enjoy ample off road car parking, which can be secured by a gate if desired. Downstairs the cottage has a wonderful open plan feel and is perfect for all seasons. The open plan living area features a cosy lounge complete with wood burning stove and TV and lies next to the well-equipped kitchen, which has been finished to a very high standard. Appliances in the kitchen include a Rangemaster cooker, a coffee machine, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine. Next door to the living area is the separate dining room, which has a table to seat up to six guests and direct access to the rear patio and parking area. A set of stairs from the living area leads to the first floor where guests will discover three good sized bedrooms, these include the Master with double bed and en-suite shower room, a pretty twin with two full size wood framed single beds and a second double. There is also a family bathroom fitted with a bath, a wash basin and a WC. The rear terrace area can be accessed either from the first floor conservatory or the ground floor. The terrace is a real sun spot in the summer months and is fully enclosed. The terrace has a set of outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Beyond the terrace is the large garden, which is mainly laid to lawn and is perfect for children or ball games. A real highlight of Ford Hill Cottage is the games room, which is located in the former garage. The purpose built room is fully heated and includes a pool table, table football, table tennis and a large wall mounted TV. There is also a beach box and bike racks and outside a handy tap for washing off sand or mud. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire cottage during their stay. Directions and access information is set to guests after booking. There is off road car parking for two/three cars and guests can access the cottage either via the front door, dining area or first floor conservatory. Other things to note Please note Ford Hill Cottage is a character cottage so may have some low ceilings or steep staircases that are not suitable for all ages and abilities.
