A Tiny Escape Near San Francisco & Wine Country

A cozy one-bedroom apartment at a fantastic location for nature lovers. A place perfect in-between San Francisco (20 min drive), Stinson Beach (15 min drive), Mt. Tamalpais hiking trails (just walk out the door) and close to all Marin County, the SF Bay Area, and whatever wine country has to offer. The space This “in-law” unit is part of our home, but with a separate entrance. However you can hear us, and we may hear you similar to living in a multi-story home. Although it is described as quiet and peaceful by many, if you are sensitive to noise, it might not be the right spot for you. It is perfect for a couple, small family, or group of close friends, and offers the opportunity to temporarily make it a home away from home, with its own kitchenette and full bath with bathtub. It has a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a couch in the living room which opens up to a comfortable queen. The kitchen comes with all standard appliances, including an electric range, dishwasher, and microwave. Coffee machine too, of course! -We have recently added washer and dryer to the unit for our guests convenience! Important to note that this apartment is located at the bottom of 2 flights of stairs, with the steps being a bit larger than standard. This may not be suitable for small children and any person who has trouble going up and downstairs. Our home is situated on the hill above downtown Mill Valley. The road is wide and two lanes but winding and has no sidewalks. There is even some hiking on the hill that you can access from the home. Parking for one car is available in the carport. The community in Mill Valley is lively, albeit small. There are several restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and galleries. The village is quite walkable, and if you are up for it, you can take the town stairs from our home down to the village center (supposedly around 700 steps). There is plenty of street parking, though most are metered. This apartment is available for longer-term rentals. Please inquire if interested. Other things to note Our standard check-in time is at 4 pm. If you need early check-in, you must message us directly prior to arrival. Early access is not guaranteed and will only be confirmed if our schedule allows.
