OUR MILL ALLOWED US TO BE ELU "AMBASSADOR OCCITANIE AIRBNB" Dependency of a water mill, made of country stone located on a very large wooded lot on the edge of a small river, with swimming and fishing. Refurbished with all the comfort. At night you are lulled by the murmur of the water that passes at your feet. Very quiet but close to a small town with all amenities. The space A bedroom with a bed for two, a bedroom with two single beds and a mezzanine with a convertible for two, a large room with its Aveyron fireplace, equipped open kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. A terrace in the garden and improvised picnic by the water. Pets are welcome as long as they are on the list of occupants (be sure to check off the number of pets) and that they do not go into the rooms. Restoration of the mill is up to standard but sometimes intruders are invited, ants or spiders, you have a vacuum cleaner at your disposal to get rid of it and we have bombs against wasps. And good news, there are no mosquitoes! Enclosed garden with gates on the "street" side and "stream" side to protect young children and animals. Other things to note As soon as you exit the mill, exceptional sites wherever you go: the Aveyron gorges, the Grands Causses, the Millau viaduct… Discover many historical or natural sites: Lot Valley, the Rouergat Country, the Aubrac. Castles and ruins will mark all your getaways: Najac, Peyrusse le Roc, Bournazel, Belcastel, … Caves open to the public: Foissac, Padirac, Pech Merle... Museums with themes like the Mine (Decazeville), crafts, prehistory, heritage. Ancient mills, mines, churches and chapels around the paths... Les Bastides: Villefranche de Rouergue, Figeac, Villeneuve, are the most beautiful bastides in the area. Conques, a must on the way to Santiago de Compostela; Cordes sur Ciel, a small high perched and picturesque village. Famous markets like Villefranche on Thursdays and Figeac on Saturdays. Terroir products: foie gras, mushrooms, duck, artisanal charcuterie, the Marcillac valley with its famous wine that you will have to taste (in moderation). Regional specialties: Stockfish, Truffade, Aligot to enjoy for the many country parties and alfresco dining in the surrounding villages.
