OUR MILL HAS ALLOWED US TO BE ELECTED "AIRBNB OCCITANIA AMBASSADOR" Outbuilding of a water mill, made of local stone, located on a very large wooded plot by a small river, with swimming and fishing. Refurbished with all the comforts. At night you are lulled by the murmur of the water that passes at your feet. Very quiet but close to a small town with all amenities. The space One bedroom with a bed for two, one bedroom with two single beds and a mezzanine with a convertible for two, a large room with its "cantou" Aveyron fireplace, equipped open kitchen, separate bathroom and toilet. A terrace in the garden and improvised picnic by the water. Pets are welcome provided that they are on the list of occupants (remember to check the number of pets) and that they do not go into the bedrooms. The restoration of the mill is up to the standards in force, but sometimes intruders invite themselves, ants or spiders, you have a vacuum cleaner at your disposal to get rid of them and we have bombs against wasps. And good news, there are no mosquitoes! Guest access Independent 4-room accommodation entirely yours during your stay. Outside, a few hectares available to play, rest, the river is shallow in summer, so accessible almost all along its course in our property, where you will not be disturbed by anyone (maybe a greedy heron...). Enclosed garden with gates on the "street" side and "stream" side to protect young children and animals. Other things to note As soon as you leave the mill, exceptional sites wherever you go: the Aveyron gorges, the Grands Causses, the Millau viaduct… Discovery of many historical or natural sites: Lot Valley, the Rouergat country, Aubrac. Castles and ruins will mark all your getaways: Najac, Peyrusse le Roc, Bournazel, Belcastel, … Caves open to the public: Foissac, Padirac, Pech Merle… Museums with themes such as the Mine (Decazeville), crafts, prehistory, heritage. Old mills, mines, churches and chapels along the way… The Bastides: Villefranche de Rouergue, Figeac, Villeneuve, are the most beautiful bastides in the region. Conques, a must-see on the way to St Jacques de Compostelle; Cordes-sur-Ciel, a small, high-perched and picturesque village. Renowned markets such as Villefranche on Thursday and Figeac on Saturday. Local products: foie gras, mushrooms, duck, artisanal charcuterie, the Marcillac valley with its renowned wine that must be tasted (in moderation). Regional specialties: Stockfish, Truffade, Aligot to be enjoyed during the many country festivals and outdoor meals in the surrounding villages.
