Originally a 1920s farmhouse, Frog Point Inn sits in an area once famous for clandestine rum running across the St. Clair River during Prohibition. After World War II, a 6-room lodge was built on the property alongside the back field to accommodate farm hands. Today, our boutique motel units offer modern-day luxury with a storied past! Plan your dinner on the water! Two grocery stores are 10 minutes from the Inn. Take-out is also a great option. The screened in gazebo beside the river is the best place to eat and take in a sunset.... (Please note these spaces are shared with guests from our other three boutique rooms.) (A kitchen and laundry area are offered for extended stays.) Other things to note The energy-efficient, tankless hot water system heats only what is needed when it is needed. We do not provide bottled water in the guest rooms. The local water is safe to drink and bio-degradable cups are provided. ACTIVITIES: - St. Clair Parkway: Ride, jog or walk along the St. Clair River Trail. Enjoy 35 km of scenic views and stop for a riverside picnic at one of the many municipal parks. No picnic basket? Try our local "Mr. Chip" french fry truck parked riverside just north of Corunna. - Golf: Check out the greens at the St. Clair Parkway Golf Course in Mooretown - a 5 minute drive from here. Their brand new Clubhouse opened in April 2025 and The Parkway Bar and Grill features a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu during the golf season! Open 8 am - 8 pm every day. - Fish: Try your luck at any of the numerous parks along the St. Clair River. Two public boat launches are 5 min from us!
