Mountainside Cottage

Welcome to Mountainside Cottage, located at the foot of a mountain with a beautiful view across the valley and the next mountain! The cottage is situated in the heart of a thriving Amish community. You can watch the buggies go by as you relax on the porch. The space Guests will find plenty of space to relax on the large sectional in the living room. Perhaps you will enjoy sitting on the porch and watching the sunset or listen to the horse and buggies go by. You may want to walk down the quiet country road right beside the house. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole house except the attic, basement and a small cleaning closet in the downstairs bathroom. Other things to note Mountainside Cottage is within minutes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and within 15 minutes of Cowans Gap State Park. Shippensburg University and East Broadtop Railroad are 30 minutes away, Gettysburg and Raystown Lake are within an hour of the cottage. Be sure to take advantage of the nearby Amish produce and bake stands. The Tuscarora Trail goes right by the house if you enjoy hiking. Our local Path Valley Market sells the best hoagies around. We do want our guests to be aware that we are in the country as well as at the foot of the mountain, while we do our best to keep ahead of the beetles and such like, we cannot guarantee that you won't see any ants, bugs and beetles in or around the house. Likewise, sometimes the neighbors enjoy target practicing, all part of being in the country. One other detail to note, the cottage is positioned close to the road, please be mindful of the traffic.
