Sandy Point Beach Private Getaway

Charming private 2nd story garage apartment efficiency with a queen bed and a full bed in an open floor plan with a full kitchen, bathroom and screened porch. Adjacent to Sandy Point Beach State Park with its hiking trails and sand beach - a rarity for mid-coast Maine. Located between Bucksport and Belfast which each have grocery stores, restaurants, theaters, breweries and shops for all your needs. One hour to Acadia National park. Everyone is welcomed here. We are LGBTQIA+ friendly. The space This is a seven-acre property on the coast of Maine. It was established by Zetham French of the Weymouth Colony in Massachusetts. He arrived in 1759 at nearby Fort Point. He settled at Sandy Point in a one room log cabin near the shore which has been relocated to the farm and is currently being restored. He built the 1-1/2 story timber framed house in 1768 where I currently live with my partner, Nick. The house is known as the 'Old Manse' and is one of the oldest homes in the area. The farm produced apple cider among other things. Many old apple trees still bloom every year. We have enjoyed restoring and being caretakers of this historic place. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire apartment, porch, and grounds.
