Stillwater Smoke is your private lakefront escape on Pickerel Lake Wisconsin’s Northwoods. Fish or kayak from your own dock, gather around a wood burning fire pit, and grill up a feast on the flat top grill. With 4 queen beds, 2 bathrooms and a deck overlooking the lake, there’s room for the whole crew to unplug and make memories. Kayaks & life jackets included. Boat launches minutes away — bring the boat. ATV/UTV trails & all the Northwoods has to offer right outside your door. The space Welcome to Stillwater Smoke — your Northwoods lakefront escape on Pickerel Lake! Step inside and you’re immediately greeted by an open concept main floor where the kitchen, dining area and living room flow seamlessly together. Large windows and sliding patio doors fill the space with natural light and frame stunning views of Pickerel Lake. A gas fireplace anchors the room, centered on the main wall between the living and dining areas — the perfect gathering spot on cool Northwoods evenings. Please note the fireplace is available October through April only. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook full meals for the group, including a drip coffee maker to fuel your mornings on the lake. The dining area and kitchen island seating comfortably seats the whole crew. When the sun goes down, gather around our one of a kind cribbage table or dig into the board games — perfect for a classic Northwoods game night. When you’re ready to kick back, the smart TV with DirecTV Stream and select streaming apps (available for your personal log ins) is ready for movie nights or catching the game. The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and two bathrooms — each with a shower stall. Upstairs, a sleeping loft with two queen beds offers additional space — open to the main floor below, making it a natural fit for kids. With four queen beds total, Stillwater Smoke sleeps up to 8 guests comfortably. All bedding and towels are provided — each bed includes both medium and firm pillow options so everyone sleeps the way they like. Just show up and settle in. Step out through the sliding patio doors onto the deck, where an outdoor dining table and lake views set the scene for morning coffee, evening meals and everything in between. Head down to the private lakefront and dock to fish, launch the kayaks, or simply soak it all in. Keep an eye out for loons, ducks, otters and deer — Northwoods wildlife is part of the experience. Whether you’re gathering around the wood burning fire pit under the stars, firing up the flat top grill for a lakeside feast, or exploring 100+ miles of UTV trails nearby, Stillwater Smoke has everything you need for an unforgettable Northwoods getaway. Good to Know —Driveway accommodates 3-4 vehicles — boat/trailer parking available but limits vehicle space —Windows without screens should remain closed and locked during your stay —Dock is private —Swim at your own risk — no lifeguard on duty —Cell service varies by provider — we recommend downloading offline maps before arrival —Nearest grocery store is 20+ minutes away — we recommend stocking up before you arrive —Please note the sleeping loft is open to the main floor and offers limited privacy —The Northwoods is nature at its finest — and nature comes with bugs. We regularly treat the property for mosquitos, ticks and other pests but we can’t make the outdoors go away! We recommend packing bug spray and embracing it like a true Northwoodsian. Keeping doors and windows closed when not in use goes a long way in keeping the outdoors out. —Sheets/bedding are not provided for the Pack-n-Play. Guests must provide their own. Guest access Guests are welcome to use all spaces on our property, though we do ask that you limit use of the utility room to the washer/dryer only. Please do not tamper with any systems/utilities in this space. There are two locked closets in the main floor hallway that are unavailable to guests; these are used for supply storage. The pontoon boat stored onsite is not available for guest use. Other things to note --For everyone’s peace of mind, we have two exterior cameras at the cottage. One is monitoring the side/front of the cottage, keeping an eye on the driveway and front entry. The other is on the back of the house, overlooking the back deck, back yard, and lakefront. These help us keep the property safe when it’s not in use, as well as confirm the number of guests upon check-in. —To comply with our short term rental permit and insurance requirements, only guests on the confirmed reservation are permitted at the property. We are unable to accommodate visitors or additional guests beyond those listed at the time of booking — this applies regardless of available sleeping capacity. Violations may result in immediate cancellation without refund. --During periods of inclement weather, there may be intermittent outages for power and internet. We encourage you to make us aware of these situations so we can monitor outages and keep you informed of progress to restore service. Please understand that these situations are outside of our control and we cannot influence how quickly outages are resolved.
