Memory Lane Black Jack

This home was built in 1907 and was the dream of thirteen young women at the turn of the century. The house stands tall and is enjoyed and loved 119 years later! The Black Jack room might be a great place to kick back. Today, four ladies have gathered historical facts about this house to keep the dream alive. The home is filled with pictures and facts from 1900 into the 1940's. We at Memory Lane would enjoy sharing this experience with you! Sha, Mary, Donna & Joy The space The Black Jack bedroom offers a moody and inviting atmosphere inspired by its historical namesake. The room is named after the Black Jack battle, which took place in 1854 just outside Baldwin City, before the Civil War. Guests will discover a collection of intriguing pictures and articles relating to this significant period in history, adding a unique and educational element to their stay. Room Features - This spacious bedroom is located on the first floor and is designed for comfort and convenience. It features hardwood flooring, ample seating, a coffee table and a desk. The room is equipped with window air conditioning to ensure a pleasant environment and guests can enjoy a scenic view of the garden from the windows. The private bathroom includes both a tub and a shower, allowing guests to relax and refresh at their leisure. Amenities - Just steps away from the bedroom, guests will find a fully stocked Coffee Bar, perfect for starting the day or winding down in the evening. The Black Jack bedroom promises a quiet and peaceful stay, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking comfort and tranquility. Guest access For those seeking a quiet environment , the study offers a table for four, making it an ideal spot for reading, working, or casual conversation. The sitting room is a welcoming area where guests can participate in assembling an ongoing jigsaw puzzle, adding a touch of relaxation and fun to their stay. Our common areas are not air conditioned. There was a reason the builder created a massive porch before air conditioners were invented! Gathering on the porch is the place to be and people love it. During your stay You will be greeted upon arrival so I can show you around and make sure you have everything you might need. I live on property so even though you may not see me much during your stay, we are as close as a text or phone call. If you would like a continental breakfast we will provide pastries, fruit and cereal. If you would enjoy scrambled eggs, bacon and toast let us know when you book your reservation and we will provide a great breakfast for you. This breakfast is included with your reservation. Breakfast is served at 9AM We can provide a buffet breakfast with Pancakes, bacon/sausage, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. There is a charge for this breakfast of $15.00 per person.
