Enjoy quiet mornings, river access down a path, and stunning views in every season—just a short drive from Salmon. Please note that flight of stairs is required to access home. The space This place is really special to us—it’s our escape from the noise, the place we come to slow down, breathe, and just be. We don’t get here as often as we’d like, which is why we decided to share it. Our barn sits on 17 private acres on the river in Carmen, Idaho, surrounded by mountains, open skies, and more peace than you can imagine. It’s a true home away from home—cozy, clean, and thoughtfully set up, with two spacious bedrooms and plenty of room to comfortably sleep 4. But honestly, what makes this place so amazing is everything outside. There’s river access, a favorite fishing hole, a beach area, a pond, and a walking trail that winds through the property. It’s the kind of place where you’ll see deer, turkey, cranes, ducks, eagles, hawks, turtles, frogs… and so many birds—it never gets old. In the summer, there can be mosquitoes (it is riverfront property after all), but for us, it’s always been a small tradeoff for everything this property gives back. Mornings are quiet and slow, evenings are peaceful, and at night the stars are unreal. The mountain views in every direction are something you just don’t get tired of. This has always been a place where we come to make memories, and our hope is that it becomes that kind of place for you too! Welcome to our "Barn"! Important to note that it requires a flight of stairs for access to living area. Guest access You have access to the entire home which is on the second floor of the barn. We do occasionally need access to the garage below so we ask that you don’t park in front of the garage door and I will always give you a heads up if we need to get into the garage for any reason. Other things to note We truly love this place and appreciate guests who treat it with the same care and respect. This is a peaceful, nature-filled property, and our neighbors are family, so we kindly ask that you are respectful of the space and surroundings during your stay. Wildlife is a big part of what makes this retreat so special—please do not shoot or disturb any animals. For safety, please watch children closely at all times, as there is a river and a pond on the property. The pond is not recommended for swimming.
