Creekside Shire Catfish Can Camper 1971 Airstream

Tucked away on wild wooden acres, is a renovated, mid century cat inspired, 1971 Airstream Land Yacht Globetrotter for your glamping pleasure. Here you find peaceful serenity and wildlife. The main attraction on the land, is Martins Creek, a class A stocked trout stream, flows through. Bring your fishing rods! Just outside of the quaint village of Nicholson, (home of the famous 1915 Lackawanna Bridge) A forested fishing micro retreat found in a hollow of the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. The space Creekside Shire is a micro forest and fishing retreat that includes a tiny house and a vintage Airstream Camper with its own bathhouse a few feet away. Both units have a two person capacity. Therefore, there may be another guest or two enjoying the acreage during your stay. A central campfire is available with plenty of free firewood. Martins Creek, a stocked trout water way, and another smaller tributary stream run through the land. A small private shed and garage (not for guests) are also on the property. This is our newish retirement project, and we are consistently working on the land development. We are excited to see what evolves over time and the future our guests will help contribute. Guest access We suggest enjoying the yard and pasture areas, as the woods should be avoided to protect the wildlife and our guests. Many animals like deer, bear, raccoons, rabbits, eagles, heron, turkeys, etc. maybe seen. Pathways are there for traversing the property. Please stay on trails. There is plenty of free parking. Shed and garage are private. Other things to note VERY IMPORTANT: Please return keys to lockbox on garage door. Losing Airstream keys will result in additional fees of $100; because the entire locking mechanism must be replaced. (They only come with limited keys that cannot be copied.) This 2026 spring, the trout were stocked, aka dumped into Martins Creek from the property upstream and right next door to our land. How awesome! Look for the tree (in the pics) stretching out over the creek; for they love to hide there. Further downstream, beyond the bend, the creek is deeper for swimming. Yet, shallow enough for footholds on the river rock bottom. So bring your water shoes, totally recommend. (We do supply ‘beach’ towels) As most ancient waterways of the northern Appalachia Mountains, highway 11 runs along Martins Creek. Creekside Shire does extend to that highway. (Although across the creek is totally untamed wild nature.) Therefore you may possibly hear some occasional traffic. Please, No smoking indoors! We do not have WiFi; but signal for data and cell phone use is good. No pets. No children under 12. Please respect the privacy and peace of our neighbors and any other guests. Quiet time from 11:00pm to 7:00am is for the courtesy of others. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. The topography of the land is wild forest and mowed pasture with an old electric line running along the pasture. About 100 years ago, it was an electric trolley rail that ran from Scranton to New Milford daily. Twenty years ago, it was a pasture for sheep and goats. One day…a nice garden… Please avoid entering the woods, as many wildlife live there. Deer, raccoon, eagles, heron, beaver, ducks, fox, and many other wildlife species have been seen. So please respect their home, and stay on trails and pathways. Enter the wild at your own risk.
