Au Canard Branchu du Lac Brome is a charming Swiss chalet offering private access to Lake Brome. Access to the lake is on the other side of the path, opposite the chalet. You just need to take the stairs down to the lake, and in no time at all, you'll find yourself with both feet in the water. A relaxation area has been set up right on the waterfront, allowing you to fully enjoy the pleasures of summer. You will greatly appreciate the central air conditioning on hot summer days. The living room, open plan with the kitchen and dining room, will welcome you with a large wood-burning fireplace, among other things. Winter stays there will be incredibly cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped; all you need to do is bring your food. Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms. One bathroom and one shower room complete the house. In winter, you can bring your ski or snowshoe gear and store it in the basement during your stay. We provide you with 2 single kayaks, 1 double kayak, and 2 paddleboards so you can explore the lake, and perhaps you'll encounter the famous Web-Footed Duck. The Quilliams Nature Reserve (a hidden paradise) awaits you. On the lake, fishing is possible in both summer and winter, when the ice allows it. Here, you will find walleye, pike, bass, and perch, among other species. It is not possible to moor a motorboat at the chalet's dock. During your stay, consider visiting the villages of Dunham, Frelighsburg, and Knowlton; the latter is a picturesque village that has retained its English charm. Located just 5 minutes from the cottage, you will find several shops, restaurants, and antique dealers. The area is a vast playground for road and gravel bike enthusiasts and is full of breathtaking scenery. In winter, the property is perfect for a ski weekend; the chalet is located 15 minutes from the Bromont ski slopes. Mount Orford and Mount Sutton are also less than 30 minutes from the chalet. Owl's Head, on the other hand, is 40 minutes away. You will also find several kilometers of trails, directly accessible from the back of the property, for walking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Ice fishing equipment can be rented nearby. It is not uncommon to see deer and wild turkeys at the back of the cottage for rent. In winter, Douglass Municipal Beach (3 minutes from the chalet) offers campfires, ice skating on the lake, snowshoe rentals, snow scooters, and cross-country skis.
